1. Exercise regularly

Regular exercise will make you look younger and feel better. When you are exercising you are helping your body circulate more nutrients and oxygen trough your entire system including skin which then looks healthier and younger.

It also helps your body increase collagen production which decreases with age. After each exercise you will feel better, more relaxed, your mood will be visibly better and people who smile a lot look much younger. Regular exercise lowers the stress hormones in your body, which lowers your blood pressure and relaxes your blood vessels. Exercise regularly and you will definitely slow down the aging process. 2 to 3 times a week is enough but you will want to do it daily when you see the benefits.

2. Retinoid creams

Creams that contain retinoid help your body produce more collagen which will make you look younger. As you might already know collagen will help you get rid of wrinkles, aging spots and acne.

Some dermatologists are claiming that they can tell whether you use retinoid cream just by looking at you. There are two types of retinoid creams – the one you can buy over the counter and ones that you need prescription for. The second ones are a lot stronger and the difference is visible after few weeks of using it. When it comes to those creams you can buy almost anywhere, it might take several months until you see some effects. If there is a way for erasing wrinkles without a knife this is the one of them.

3. Exfoliate your skin

Exfoliating your skin means that you are removing all impurities along with old dead skin, which also means that new, fresh and young skin will come to the top. When you do exfoliation you are actually boosting your collagen production as well.

By removing old cells you are cleaning the passage for creams and moisturizers. Any kind of skin treatment will have better effect after exfoliation. Make sure that you find product that has smooth texture and tiny particles and not other way around because that could lead to skin damage and you don’t want to do that. 4. Sleep regularly and enough

Numerous Hollywood beauties support this claim, and for a good reason. Sleep is considered to be one of the most powerful treatments for rejuvenation.

Always try to sleep on your back so you would not interrupt blood flow to your face which could result in black circles around eyes. Also make sure that you get enough of fresh oxygen in the room where you sleep. Keep the window open during the day so that fresh air can come in. Also try to go to sleep and to wake up at the same time every day. That will develop regular sleep wake rhythm which is very good for the organism needless to say that it will help you look youthful without any effort.

5. Always be hydrated

As you might have already guessed this means that you should drink enough of water. Drinking other liquids like fresh squeezed orange juice is also a great thing but water is essential for our body.

Why is this so important? We are mostly water, about 60 % to be precise. By depriving your body of water you accelerate its deterioration. So drinking a lot of water will keep you young longer. It is best moisturizer for your skin because you feed it from the inside. It is great for your teeth and it supports collagen in your skin also. Drinking water suppresses your appetite so you will be slimmer as well. One other benefit is that it boosts your metabolism and by drinking a lot of water you are burning calories faster.

6. Apply sunscreen regularly

When you’re exposed to sun for a longer periods of time and not wearing sun protection, it is very likely that you will get wrinkles, age spots, sagging skin.

To prevent that wear sunscreen every time you go out. It does not matter if it is winter or summer, as long as there is any sun, put it on. Sunscreens are considered to be one of best anti-ageing creams. Scientists say it can slow down skin aging process up to 24 %. So you do the math – with 40 you can look as 30-year-old. So basically what you can to do is stop using your daily cream and replace it with sunscreen lotion. 7. Eat healthy

There is a saying – you are what you eat, and that is completely true. If you eat junk food and frozen meals you cannot expect that your skin or the rest of your body will look good.

To do its function properly body needs vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and it gets all that from food you consume. Healthy and balanced food will provide you with everything you need while junk food or frozen meals won’t. If you are going for a strict regime you should avoid white bread and pasta because they have direct impact to collagen production, which leads to the appearance of wrinkles. Stick to the vegetable and lean meat to achieve that youthful look, and snack on fruit as well.

8. Avoid sugar

Eating sugar is disaster for the face, according to the experts. It does not matter how much your creams cost if your diet is full of sugar. Moisturizers and lotions protect and help skin from the outside but skin needs to be fed from the inside where cells are created, and sugar is sabotaging that.

Take the sugar out of your diet completely for a long period of time and you can look ten years younger. Sugar causes skin to lose elastic properties due to the certain process in which sugar attaches proteins in the body and creates harmful molecules which ultimately affect the skin. If you can’t cut of sugar completely, at least consider moderate consumption and you will definitely see results.

9. Limit alcohol and cigarettes

We don’t need to explain this, it is pretty much obvious. Cigarettes are full of toxins that affect your skin directly making it saggy and yellowish. It causes premature wrinkling and in general it accelerates aging.

There are over 2000 chemicals in one cigarette. Alcohol makes your body dehydrated and we already mentioned importance of hydration. Too much alcohol will result in wrinkles, loss of collagen, and it will make your skin dehydrated and puffed. However, all of the mentioned things depend of the amount and frequency of drinking. Keeping your drinking moderate can have some positive effect on your health. For example glass of wine has numerous benefits, but if you exceed that amount, it might have opposite effect.

10. Eat food rich in antioxidants

Due to constant air pollution, stress, pesticides and all other bad influences all around us, free radicals are created which can cause some major damage to your body. They are molecules that are deficient for one electron, and they try to make up for by finding those electrons elsewhere.

This causes damage in our bodies. Antioxidants find free radicals and replace their missing electrons. Also, antioxidants repairs the damage caused by free radicals. Our body produces antioxidants by itself but nowadays it is not enough, it needs our help. You can help your body by eating food rich in antioxidants, vitamin E, selenium, vitamin C or carotenoids. Best choices are all kind of berries, and you should also include beans, fish and sweet potatoes.

11. Keep proper posture

It is not just about how others see you when you have bad posture, but how it affects your health as well. Having a good posture means your body is perfectly aligned.

If you don’t’ have proper posture, you are putting some extra pressure on parts of the body that are not aligned and that can lead to serious health issues. When keeping a bad posture through the years the bones get deformed and it is hard to reverse the effect. It also affects your breathing. Bad posture has a direct impact to your diaphragm resulting in shallower breaths which means less oxygen for your body. If the body does not get enough of oxygen signs of aging will appear faster.
