Nature’s Remedies In Autumn

At the end of summer and beginning of autumn nature gives us different solutions for seasonal disorders. Nature is already tired from the summer and exhausted from the sun. Everything is dry, dehydrated and dying at the hands of the mother Earth, and with the arrival of autumn, we start to feel the impact of summer adventures.

The red color of the leaves – the color of life

The leaves and fruit of autumn contain valuable substances in various tones of red. In modern chemistry they are called the anti-cyanine. These are natural elements beneficial to human health. The active ingredients in the autumn leaves and fruits that get reddish hue develop a strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Their most important job is to protect the blood vessels, as well as the reduction and elimination of edema and swelling. The products based on these substances are suitable for treating all forms of varicose veins, phlebitis, cracked capillaries, edema, hemorrhoids, cellulite, water retention, weight, and blood stasis in the legs.

In autumn and winter we move less, spend more time indoors and problems occur due to water and blood retention. Natural products ready to use when autumn comes, prevent these problems.

Fruit for cold days

In addition to the leaves, autumn fruit is extremely important also. Some of these are red to dark purple berries, with some pulps.

Dried fruits (walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts) are rich in other types of substances, beneficial to the nervous system, especially omega-3 fatty acids that enable clearer thoughts and stimulate positive mood. This is extremely useful when the winter is coming, because the days are getting shorter, and there is less sunshine.

Roots – gift of nature

Roots primarily exploit the great autumn ground. That is also the time when cleansing plants are active helping the organism to get prepared for new climate and new ambient. It is an ideal period for the use of long burdock root, because it is an excellent plant for detoxification.

Nettle root can also be used for the same purpose, because it acts as diuretic in the urinary tract. Finally we should mention the sorrel root, plant that farmers consider as weed and which is appreciated by herbalists for its medicinal properties and ability to stimulate iron absorption. Nettle prevents chronic fatigue which is characteristic for autumn.

Mushroom turkey tail – a panacea for immunity.

Autumn nature gives us precious gifts, among them is the abundance of mushrooms. In Western countries it is used primarily as food, while in the east mainly for medicinal purposes. One of the most famous and most interesting properties of medicinal mushrooms is their positive impact on the immune system.

Mushroom Trametes versicolor, often called the “turkey tail” is rich source of substances that effectively regulate and strengthen the immune system. In the east this fungus was used in anti aging products, because a strong immune system is the best way to the long and healthy life.
