Exercise To Weaken Appetite

As we all know it can be quite hard to weaken the appetite. However, English researchers, in recently published study, presented conclusion that if you exercise, you will lower the number of calories you intake, because hard training will lower your appetite. In this one day study 22 women and 10 men were involved. They were divided into two groups.

First group had special dietary regime that lasted for nine hours, while other group ate in regular way, but they run on the treadmill in moderate pace for 90 min. At one point, in front of the both groups buffet was set up and they were asked to eat as much as they want, after which the researchers calculated number of calories they have taken. First group ate 944 calories on average while the runners were far behind them with only 660 calories.

Hunger hormone ghrelin is produced in stomach cells. When we exercise, circulation is increased in other parts of body, but it is weaken in abdominal part and that is the reason why this hormone is produced in lower amounts, and that is probably the best way to weaken appetite. It is interesting that this kind of effect can be produced only by intensive workout and running. Moderate exercise and walking will not give that effect.

Carbohydrates should not be avoided

To maintain optimal organism energy during the whole day it is essential to eat every four hours, and for the meals to be based on ingredients that release sugar steadily into blood stream.

Carbohydrates are primary source of energy because they provide correct functioning of metabolism.

Our body brakes carbohydrates into energy for cells and muscles, so they are always needed in regular meals but in balanced amount. This is recommendation made by World Health Organization. Carbohydrates are divided into two groups – simple and complex and their daily intake should be from 55% to 65% of entire energy needed, and only 10% should be simple carbohydrates (sugars).

Not all carbohydrates are completely good for you or completely bad. Some are good for your health, while others if taken to excessive can heighten risk from diabetes, obesity and hart conditions. The highest quality source of carbohydrates are fruit, vegetables and whole grains. The reason for that is – those foods also contain vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients.

Carbohydrates that are easily digested like white bread, white rice, bagels , sweet drinks and other highly processed food can be the reason for obesity. So it is best to stick to the carbohydrates that nature gave us. So to weaken appetite, intensify your workouts and you’ll achieve your goal faster.
